I've got to go the Oncology Center tomorrow to get a chance to talk with Dena.  I need my thyroid medicine.  I also need her to see my stomach after the last drainage.  If I can get these two items taken care of I think I'll feel much better than I do now.  Right now I don't have much energy.

I had a bad week with my contests, but so did a lot of other people.  I ended up in the 97th percentile in one and the 96th in the other.  I ope to do better this week.

I had my CT scan yesterday.  I'm not sure when I'll find out how it compares to the last one.  I think I meet with the doctor this coming week but I'll have to check.  There are a couple of things that need to be addressed.  I need to have my thyroid medicine adjusted and the fluid in the stomach.  In time I believe those problems will be solved.

Here are my picks for this week.

I think I'd better give you an update on what;s going on with me.  I;m still having a problem with too much fluid in my stomach. Last Thursday after I went for my infusion I went to the hospital to have them take more fluid out.  After waiting for the ultrasound person to finally arrive and do their thing I had to wait for the doctor for quite some time,  The doctor came in and said there wasn't enough clearance to stick the needle in and there wasn't that much fluid.  After being on the table for an hour+ I left without anything being done.  I might try again today.  Other than feeling pregnant (my back hurts most of the time) I'm doing OK.  I don't believe any of this stomach thing is related to my cancer.  I hope anyway.

I'll let you know how things go.

I guess I'd better give you an update on what's going on with my health.  Last Friday the Oncology Center sent me to the Hospital to have liquid drained from my stomach.  They took 2.5 liters and by Monday or Tuesday the fluid was back or so we thought.  Thursday the OC sent me back to the hospital.  I was there for 3 or 4 hours.  After the ultrasound the doctor looked at the pictures and said there wasn't enough fluid to make a safe injection and advised me to wait a day or two to see what happens.  That's where we stand now as to my stomach problem.  On the plus side there were no cancer cells in the fluid they drained the first time.  Other than my stomach problem I'm doing fine.  I had my Opdivo yesterday.  Maybe that will help cure my stomach problem.

My picks for the week:

1.  TCU
2.  Notre Dame
3.  Washington
4.  Michigan State
5.  SMU
6.  Auburn
7.  Ohio State
8.  Utah State
9.  Washington State
10.  Arizona

Oops, I missed posting Sunday.  It was planned because I just didn't feel like writing.  I think my thyroid dosage needs to be fixed.  I haven't felt like doing much.  I do meet with the doctor this week so maybe it will be adjusted.

Saturday and Sunday I watched ball games and Carolyn had to keep reminding me that I needed to get up off my duff and walk around.  Thank goodness for my wife and her guidance and watching over me.

While I'm on the subject of me watching football, well, so I was talking about my wife, I'm going to talk a little football now.

As I've told you before, I'm in two ESPN contests.  In one the object is to just pick winners of the ten games they list.  In the second contest you pick the winner and rank them from 1 to ten as to the most likely winner, then the second most likely etc.  In the straight pick'em I'm in the 99th percentile and my standing is 3326.  In the rank'em, I'm in the 98th percentile and my standing (position) is 4693.  This is the highest I've ever been.
