We had a gorgeous day yesterday.  The thermometer must have reached 80 in the afternoon.  We spent the evening with some friends.  Their deck was just the place to be with a glass of wine and the stars coming out eventually.  

Okay, now to the serious stuff.  The thing for a Commander-in-Chief to do with the present world situation is to pull a Roosevelt.  Sign some lend-lease acts with the Kurds, Ukraine and Jordan.  Give them supplies of arms to defeat the terrorists.  That's what a good Commander -in-Chief should do.  I don't expect that to happen in the near future since we don't have a good one.  These wars are civil wars so take a side and give them enough supplies to win.  We know which sides we want to win.  Well most of us do.  I'm not sure Hussein Obama wants the same side to win as I do.  He's lied to us so much that the actor in chief just might not want us to do well.  I guess I'll have to listen to Brian Williams.  He'll tell me what's going on.  

Speaking of Brian Williams, he hasn't been fired.  He voluntarily took a leave of absence for a few days.  What?  Did I read that right?  Not fired for lying to the American public?  Oh that's right the NBC News Bureau  thinks the public is too stupid to understand and if they let a little time go by we'll forget.  I admit there are a lot of uninformed and stupid people in the country but not all of us are.  We know and I just wish there was something I could do about the power structure in this country.

If only I were king for a day.  Have you ever wished you were in charge and could change any and all things that you think need changing.  I do every now and then.  I'd down size the government.  I'd slim down the federal employee numbers.  I close all kinds of departments. A couple come right to mind.  Shut down the Education, EPA to mention a couple.  I'd shut down the IRS and change the tax laws.  When I shut down the IRS I'd throw the tax cheats that work for the IRS in jail.  Al Sharpton would be behind bars.  Doesn't it bother you that some people that work for the IRS are behind in their tax payments?  Government is way too large.  We've lost the concept of Congress making laws.  We've given that job to the cabinet departments.  They just make regulations which is another word for law.  I mean we have to obey the regulation as if it were law.  Isn't it the same?   I would also give the states more say in everything.  I would privatize most departments and get government out of our lives.  I'd divide California into three or four states so everyone is represented.  The San Joaquin Valley is a more conservative area but their votes don't mean much because San Francisco and Los Angeles have too many voters and therefore win the elections.  The results are left wing nuts like Barbara Boxer, Nancy Pelosi and Diane Feinstein.  (the latter isn't too left wing)
