Stop the presses!  The Republicans in the Senate passed a tax bill.  Be still my heart.  It's not a really bold plan but at least it's a start.  What I read that has to do with my taxes is encouraging.  We no longer itemize so the increase of the standard deduction will help us.  The lowering of the corporate tax rate should help the entire country.  

If the passage of a bill by both Houses happens and the economy takes off and people are happy the democrats might be sorry none of them voted for it.  Their resistance to everything Trump might come back to bite them in the a**.  It's too bad they can't support a tax cut.  

The other news (?) about Flynn lying to the FBI makes me laugh. The FBI has lied itself.  Comey being the biggest liar of all.  All this money spent by the special counsel isn't going to be worth the time and effort.  I can't see Flynn throwing the President under the bus.

We went out to see our new to us fifth-wheel yesterday.  The place where we bought it had taken it to an RV shop to give it a thorough upgrade.  Things we hadn't talked about.  It really is looking good.  It cleaned up real nice.  We needed to measure a couple of things.  We didn't like the sofa so we had them take it out so we needed to know how much room we had.  We also found out how much it would cost us to have someone drive it to Colorado.  I'll be driving it there. 

Today is Championship Day in college football.  Last night USC defeated Stanford 31-28 in an exciting ballgame.  Stanford answered every time USC scored.  There is one play call the Stanford coach might wish he could change.  With fourth down on the Trojans one yard line and trailing 24-21 Stanford ran the ball and was stopped.  A field goal would have tied the game.  USC put a 99 yard drive to score a touchdown and go up by ten.  Stanford came right back to score a touchdown but the following onside kick failed.  Good game.
