Another beautiful morning in the "Hill Country".  I hope all of you set your clocks back last night.  We were worried that we might be getting up a four something but we slept in until after five.  I'm still doing good even with the Neulasta working.  I'm taking the over the counter substitute for Claritin and it seems to be cutting down on the side effects of the Neulasta this time.  That's a plus for me.

Wow did I watch TV yesterday.  Between the football games and the Breeder's Cup races I had a full day of enjoyment.  However two teams really let me down.  Houston lost to SMU and Utah lost to Arizona State.  I'm still doing pretty good in the ESPN contests as I'm in the 81st percentile in one and in the 88th percentile in the other.  To give you an idea of how many entries there are I'm somewhere in the 13,000 category but still in the 88 percentile.  It's fun and keeps me interested.

Alabama once again showed me just how good they are defensively.  They shut out LSU yesterday while racking up 29 points.  As of right now I don't see anyone defeating them.  Clemson has a chance the way their offense is playing right now.  They have scored 240 points in their last four games.  Once the quarterback change was made they have just been exploding scoring touchdown after touchdown.  I don't think the caliber of their opponents is anything like the SEC opponents 'Bama faces however.

I still pick the teams I cheer for usually by the coach.  I like Gary Patterson at TCU who is going through one of his toughest seasons this year.  I like Mike Leach at Washington State.  He is a passing offensive genius.  He got a raw deal while at Texas Tech and I still can't stand Cris Collinsworth because of it.  I hope Washington State wins the PAC 12 championship.  I was impressed by Notre Dame coach Brian Kelly.  He was talking about Nick Saban at Alabama and had nothing but nice comments on how they do things legally and above board. Nice to hear about probably the best college football program in the country.  My top four or five teams to make the playoffs are:  Alabama, Clemson, Notre Dame, Michigan, Georgia and Washington State.  Michigan is the best team in the Big Ten right now.  Alabama and Clemson should win their conference championships.  If Notre Dame goes undefeated they should make the final four. If Georgia and Michigan lose another game they're out  and if Washington state wins the Pac 12 they should be in.  They should be ranked ahead of Oklahoma.  Their defense is better than Oklahoma's.  These are my picks at the present time.

Remember Tuesday to VOTE REPUBLICAN unless you want your taxes raised, the country being invaded from the south and stalemate for the next two years.  Get out and vote.
