Went to lab this morning to have blood drawn.  I waited a couple of minutes and got the results.  My platelets are headed downward and I might need to get some this week.  

I have a busy schedule for this week.  It's busy as far as I'm concerned.  I had lab today, play bridge Tuesday and Wednesday and on Thursday I have a CAT Scan.  Fun a couple of days and medical the other two days.  Nothing exciting but I do have to be in certain places at a scheduled time.  That's just the opposite of what retirement is all about.  The difference here is that I chose the two bridge days.

The latest news I've heard about the committee on the wall funding and not shutting the government down has reached a stalemate.  I don't think the democrats will compromise.  They will, in my thinking, do the same thing they did a few years ago.  Lie to the President while negotiating.  Mr. President if you sign this bill we will pass a bill in a few weeks that will take care of what you want.  Then they never passed the bill.  It won't surprise me if this happens this time around.  I don't believe the democrats are honest or care if they lie to get what they want.  Remember Harry Reid told a real big lie about Mitt Romney then laughed about it after Romney was defeated.  I don't trust any of the leadership of that lying democrat party.  So don't be surprised if the President doesn't have to use the power of his office to get something done on border security.
