I went fishing yesterday.  I brought 11 or 12 to the net.  Naturally I released all of them.  I caught them on several flies.  I started out using a "teterbaetis" and on the second cast I had my first fish.  I caught four or five on that fly and then all of a sudden the fish refused that one so I looked at what they were taking and it looked to me to be a Blue Wing Olive.  (BWO)  I changed flies and sure enough I started catching more fish.  That hatch eventually quit and Damsel flies were flying all over the place.  I hated to do it but I tied on a Damsel fly.  The reason I hated to do it is we've had trouble hooking fish with the Damsel flies we have.  It seems the fish hit short and we can't hook them.  Not yesterday though.  I caught three or four on the damsels.  The disappointment yesterday was I lost the largest fish after battling him for a few minutes but I know he's out there and I'll have another chance to bring him to the net.  The other disappointment is that my buddies weren't here to share the moment.  The following pictures are of Bob E. on our guided trip earlier in the month.
