If you're wanting to read my insights(?) on politics you might as well move on to another page.  It's about the football games played yesterday.  The weather in some of the places where these football games should be played was miserable.  Snow, ice, rain all showed up in some places.  I think it influenced some of the outcomes.

Okay, let me review my picks and some other games.  Ten of the top 25 ranked teams lost.  Some to other ranked teams and some to teams they should have defeated.  Of course that's what makes college football more exciting than the pros.  Emotions play a big part of the college game.  Think about it.  It's hard to get up for each game in a 12 week stretch.  If you are not emotionally ready a team that is can upset you.  A good example of that is the Kansas/TCU game.  Kansas which is now 3-7 almost upset TCU.  It was senior day.  With emotions runny high everything seemed to go right for Kansas.  On a third and goal play from about the 4 yardline Kansas threw a pass.  A TCU defender got a hand on the ball and it went right into the receivers hand for a touchdown.  On another pass play the Kansas receiver tipped the ball to himself several times after the defender had tipped it and he ended up going 60+ yards for a TD.  But in the end the more talented team got themselves together and won the game.  Could TCU been looking ahead at their next opponent?

In other games that were surprises to me were Georgia having no trouble handling Auburn. I picked Auburn.  Wisconsin routed Nebraska not that Wisconsin's win was surprising but how easily they did it was.  Arkansas finally had a big win after giving so many teams tough games by defeating LSU who was probably down after their close game with Alabama.  Notre Dame got beat in Overtime by Northwestern.  Ohio State keeps winning but had to work hard to get the win over Minnesota 31-24.  Number 19 Clemson lost to #22 Georgia Tech.  #21 Duke lost to unranked Virginia Tech 17-16.  Texas A&M gave up 21 third quarter points to Missouri and lost 27-34.  Missouri is on top of the Eastern Division of the SEC.  Arizona State lost all hope o getting into the playoff losing to Oregon State.  Florida State had to come from behind again to stay undefeated.

So with all that said my top six teams are:  Alabama, Oregon, Florida State, TCU, Miss State  and Baylor.  Looking at their schedules here are my predictions.  Alabama wins their remaining games.  Miss State could lose to Ole Miss.  Oregon wins out but has to play the Southern Division winner which is up in the air.  UCLA, USC, ASU and Arizona all have a shot at winning the southern division.  Baylor still has Kansas State to defeat to stay in the hunt while TCU should only have one tough game and that is with U Texas.  Each week it gets more interesting.
