"Hands up". Yeah the Black Caucus did their thing in the House of Representatives. How about that for no class. The House is everyones' house not just Blacks. I think that maybe the white police should not go into black neighborhoods. When they do go into those neighborhoods they are put into a "no win" situation. The people that live in those areas don't trust white cops anyway so why would a white cop want to go there? If the blacks (I refuse to call them African Americans since none of them are from Africa) wouldn't riot after a decision they don't agree with maybe that would help their cause more than rioting and looting. You didn't see white people rioting or looting after the O.J. Simpson innocent verdict when everyone knew he was guilty. The demonstrations around the country caught hard working people both black and white in traffic jams and a possibility of being late and losing their jobs. Maybe that's why their communities are resented.
Have you heard anything about the Bosnian that was beaten to death in St. Louis? The Bosnians are calling it a hate crime but so far the police aren't. He was hit with a hammer and continually hit until he died. A black teenager (17) is being charged with first degree murder. Have we heard from Eric Holder or Hussein Obama on this? Not a word.
Back to what I wrote in an earlier paragraph about calling people African Americans or Latin Americans or Mexican American or Chinese Americans etc.. I want these different groups to call themselves Americans and quit separating themselves from the rest of Americans. Just me I guess but I don't like having a "Black Miss America or a Black Caucus. Are we then supposed to have a Miss White America or a White Caucus or a Mexican Caucus etc.. Fit in, learn English and thrive. (Is that last bit from Star Trek)
My picks (in red) for the week are, Thursday, East Carolina over UCF. Friday Northern Illinois over Bowling Green. Arizona loses to Oregon although I'll be rooting for Arizona. Saturday, TCU beats Iowa State, Louisiana Tech to upset Marshall, Alabama to defeat Missouri although I don't think I've picked Missouri's games correctly all year. Upset maybe? Since I'm going to root for Kansas State I'll take them over Baylor. Another upset I'm hoping for so I'll go out on a limb and take Georgia Tech to beat Florida State. I like Wisconsin to defeat Ohio State. Boise State will beat Fresno State. On Thursday in the pros I like Dallas over Chicago but don't ask me why. Sunday, Cincinnati over Pittsburgh, Cleveland to defeat Indianapolis (Johnny hates to lose will he be at QB?) Houston over Jacksonville and Seattle to defeat the Eagles in Philadelphia.
If you think putting TCU ahead of Florida State caused eyes to roll think what could happen this weekend if Missouri beats Alabama or Arizona defeats Oregon (they beat them once this year) and what if Georgia Tech beats Florida State? To top it off Wisconsin beats Ohio State. Anything is possible.
