I had an interesting comment on the blog I wrote yesterday. You should read it. I don't know whether or not she's correct in her thinking but she could be right. I mean where what was the coach thinking when the Browns last five possessions were punt, punt, punt, field goal and punt. The only reason they got the field goal was because they intercepted a pass deep in the Colts territory and made a total of 2 yards in three plays. I guess if you're happy with a 7-6 record you're the wrong team for me to get behind. I've only watched Cleveland a couple of times and I have not been impressed with their offense. How bad could it be to change to an exciting player as your quarterback. If you're going to lose you might as well give your highly paid rookie experience so he can lead you in the coming years. To stay with Brian Hoyer is a losing situation. During his career he has completed 56.6% of his passes. But the big stat is he has exactly the same amount of interceptions as he has touchdowns. Eighteen of each.
It would be interesting if the Browns trade him. How about Dallas picking him up to be a backup for Romo. It wouldn't be too many years before Romo is through. Between his age (34) and his health Manziel could take over soon. All this is speculation but it's fun to dream up all of these scenarios.
I'm playing bridge this afternoon and then there's a party Carolyn and I are going to this evening. It seems like the prospects of this being a good day are huge.
