Sunrise in Willcox and we are about on our way to Bullhead City, Arizona. After a day of driving we arrived at Bob and Mary's house Tuesday early evening. After a warm welcome we went inside drank some wine and talked for until we got hungry. Bob then proceeded to BBQ steaks while Mary and Carolyn did the potatoes and salad. What a good meal. It was more meat than I've eaten at one sitting in some time but the steak seemed to disappear anyway.
Wednesday morning after sitting around and drinking coffee and talking about everything from soup to nuts (where did that come from?) we decided rather than having Mary fixing breakfast we would go out. We all enjoyed our food. Bob then proceeded to take us to our old neighborhood and we saw the house where we lived for five years. The house and neighborhood looked good as it seemed the people were keeping up their houses and properties. That's always a good thing when you look back to the places where you once lived.
Just a little something for all you Bush haters that thought the Iraq war was a mistake. Six million Kurds would disagree with you as now they don't have to worry about Saddam Hussein sending his troops to gas them. Saddam killed tens of thousands of Kurds while in power. The Kurds love America and are/can be one of our staunchest allies. The young used to learn Kurdish and Arabic but now learn Kurdish and English. The Kurds are also fighting ISIS and we should supply them with heavier weapons.
I haven't decided about what Hussein Obama and his trying to open relations with Cuba. I'll have to look into the pros and cons but right now I don't think we should help a dictator. Maybe is Raul would step down and they had free elections.
We leave today for southern California this morning. Have a good day.
