I didn't get a chance to write this morning as we got on the road semi-early.  (7:45)  I'm in Willcox Arizona right now and thought I'd make some comments about how Sunday turned out for Johnny Manziel.

First let me say I thought the play calling sucked.  First down run.  Second down run.  Third and long pass.  How about first down pass or second down pass? I was really upset at how his fellow teammates didn't rally around him or at least that's what it looked like to me.  Either the offensive line is really bad or the Cincinnati defensive line is really good.  I saw early on that the Cleveland ground game wasn't any good and Manziel was going to be in trouble all day because he would be passing off his back foot while backing up.  The defense that played so good the week before couldn't stop Cincinnati's running attack.  The Bengals charged down the field at will.  The Browns were behind right away and had to play catch up which got Johnny trying to do too much.  His two interceptions were bad decisions.  Never throw across your body into the middle of the field while running toward the sidelines.  He'll learn from those.  Early on he had two passes that should have been caught that might have got him into some type of rhythm.  There were also a couple of penalties called on linemen for being down field on pass plays holding etc.  The entire team stunk up the field.  The thing I really didn't like was Johnny didn't have his swagger.  He dropped his head and looked like someone other than the Johnny I saw play ball.  My advice to him is to relax, play the game like always and have the confidence you had in high school and college.  Face it you're going to have ups and downs and it will take several games to get in the swing of things.  The important thing to do until you feel more confident is not lose the game.  No turnovers.  Maybe this week the rest of the team will help you out because they sure didn't last week.  You have the talent be patient, everything will fall into order.
