Where to begin? I guess I should mention how much this Liar-in-Chief and his flunkies try to rewrite history. The Taliban are terrorists? What's with that? They just took credit for the killing three Americans and that's not terrorism? The White House spokesperson tried to explain that the Taliban weren't terrorists. It was embarrassing to watch him hem and haw.trying to put Nobamas' spin on it. They will want to have talks with them after our troops leave and they no we don't negotiate with terrorists. So what do they do, they change history by changing semantics. This administration appears to not know what they are doing but they do. They wish to leave office with a changed world by not doing anything in the middle east other than promote the arab states. It's not a change for the good. Iran with a nuclear weapon, IS in control of a lot of territory and Al Qaeda stronger than when they took office. The slaughtering of thousands of people and the displacement of hundreds of thousands. Yet the administration talks a good game but doesn't do anything to change the outcome. I know the U. S. public is tired of wars but sometimes someone needs to make a tough decision instead of just talking or leading from behind.
Along this line a Texas State House Republican left a message on Face Book "Today is Texas Muslim Capital [sic] Day in Austin," Molly White, a House Republican, wrote on her Facebook page Thursday. "The House is in recess until Monday. Most Members including myself are back in District. I did leave an Israeli flag on the reception desk in my office with instructions to staff to ask representatives from the Muslim community to renounce Islamic terrorist groups and publicly announce allegiance to America and our laws. We will see how long they stay in my office."
I wish she was my Representative.
'Changing the subject, we watched a film last night and liked it but we both had the same reaction to the writing or lack of it. I have come to the conclusion that I wouldn't want take part in conversations with producers, writers, directors that make their living in Hollywood. I mean it must be only in Hollywood that the "F" word is used in every other sentence. Now remember I'm not a prude. I'm not proud of the fact that I've used just about all swear words at one time or another. But I didn't use them in everyday conversations. I can't figure out if writers of this era are just not as good as writers of earlier generations or what. I'm beginning to think that the present day writers have limited vocabularies. Maybe it's not the writers fault. The fault could be up the chain of command somewhere. I read quite a few novels written by many writers and the language doesn't compare to the foul language I hear in films. Maybe that's why I like foreign films. One last thing, my wife and I liked "Le Chef" better than "Chef".
