It looks like we will get rain today which is always welcome here in the hill country.  As you know Texas went through some drought years recently and our aquifer  hasn't risen that much since.  We need the rain.  I like rain just a bit more than wind. (I hate windy days) Not much but a little.  As I now live in Texas I appreciate the rain more but it's still not one of my favorite types of weather.

It's Super Bowl weekend so it seems all the news is about who will win the game and what ads will be called the best.  Between the ads and the halftime show the game seems to get lost.  When the halftime performer gets as much or more pregame press than the game something is wrong.  Whatever happened to the marching bands and card stunts?  Oops am I showing my age?  Yeah!  I really don't care who wins the game.  I have mixed feelings.  I like Pete Carroll for making football fun for his players.  I'd rather have a different team win each year but it's an achievement to win back to back championships.  So I think I'll just watch the game for the games' sake.

We have our monthly party today and I'll be helping. It's one our best attended parties of the year.  So far there have been 99 or 100 people signed up to come. I'd better finish this now so I can start getting ready to do my bit at the clubhouse.   Enjoy your day.
