I always seem to forget something that I wanted to say until the next day when it comes to me out of the blue.  Age I guess.  I know I should write these gems down but I've never been that kind of a person.  Organized that is.  The item I forgot was important and would have been more appropriate yesterday.  But as they say better late than never.
I want to thank Governor Abbott of Texas declared February 2nd  "Chris Kyle Day" in honor of his life protecting our troops in the middle east.  It's a nice gesture and a campaign for a Medal of Honor for has started.
There is somewhat of a controversy over whether the government can force parents to make their children have vaccinations for measles.  Three presidential candidates have come out and said parents should have more control over whether their children are vaccinated.  The three are Chris Christie, Rand Paul and Hillary Clinton.  I think they might be right but if the children aren't vaccinated I don't think they should be able to attend public schools until the disease is controlled and the possibility of an epidemic is over. The schools have the need and right to protect the students.
Phil the ground hog calls for six more weeks of winter and the weather here is obliging.  It's going all the way up to 48 today.  However it will be in the 70s by Saturday so I hope Phil made a mistake this year.  Along that line the aquifers near San Antonio and in the Hill Country have improved but we could still use more rain to get them more full.
Bridge today so I hope I get better cards today than I got last week.  Then I have to bid them correctly and play them well.  A lot to ask of yours truly.  Win, lose or draw I enjoy the game.
