I had a good time fishing yesterday.  I caught ten fish and none were huge.  But as I've said before with a 6' 2 wt rod everything that gets on the end of the line is fun to catch.  It was a nice warm overcast morning.  The Cardinals were chirping high in the trees that are leafing out, while the Woodpeckers were hammering on the dead tree.  The Kingfishers were flying up and down the river occasionally landing in an overhanging tree.  I tied on my recently tied popper and made my first cast.  Right away a small Guadalupe bass (pictured) took it and made a run.  After taking the shot he was released and swam away.  On my next cast a little larger bass took the fly and tugged on the line.  After getting him in I decided that since he was a little larger than the first ne I'd take a picture and maybe I'd be able to show  a progression of larger and larger fish.  NOT.  Before I could get the camera ready he flipped off and swam away.  He was the last bass of the day.  From then on All I could get were sunfish.  I got some exercise in while having a good time doing it.  It starting misting and since I was getting wet I decided to call it a day.  I'm going to go again this morning as soon as I post this.

I don't like the way the Republicans are handling the repeal and replace Obamacare.  They should listen to the conservatives.  They don't need to rush this through.  Learn from history.  Don't make the same mistake the democrats did.  Repeal the entire law and make a new one.  Republican Senators, change the Robert Bryd rule and make it easier to pass this legislation.  I don't think that rule is etched in stone.  Change it now while you have control of the Senate.  Think outside the box.
