As you all know by now Senator John McCain has a cancerous brain tumor.  I have mixed feelings about Senator McCain.  I liked that he was a maverick in the Senate.  He was at one time a middle of the roader.  I voted for him for president.  I felt at the time the country needed someone that could unite the country.  I thought McCain is usually in the middle and not at one extreme or the other.  I thought he ran a terrible campaign against the obama (the worst president ever).  In my opinion he lost it when he said obama was a good man.  That gave everyone a free pass to vote for a community organizer.  McCain was too nice to his opponent.  Since President Trump was elected it seems McCain has fought him  every time Trump has proposed something.  

Well the Republican Senators have caved again.  They are so into themselves and their next campaign that can't even repeal obamacare.  If they can't do that they have no reason to be re-elected and I think President Trump should campaign for whomever runs against them in the primaries.  Some of the Republican Senators have been there too long.  

Health insurance isn't a right.  I don't know when we started believing this.  Businesses don't have to offer health insurance to their employees.  At least I don't think there's a law demanding that they do so.  When did we come to a point where self responsibility gave way to being taken care of either by our employer or the government?  In today's world we wish to be taken care of from birth to the grave.  It shouldn't work this way.  Are we a bunch of free loaders and expect the rich to take care of us forever?  The bulk of the money comes from taxing the rich.  Remember the government must always take from us before the can give us anything.  So knowing this, involving the government in healthcare will eventually run out of money unless it increases taxes and finally it will go broke.  It's called socialized medicine.  Remember socialism is fine until you run out of other peoples' money.

I went fishing yesterday and got skunked.  I think the water was too warm.  My friend Ray caught 4 fish with one being a nice sized fish.  We saw very few risers so I didn't use my fly rod that much.  I think I'll go to Crystal tomorrow and see if I can catch a few.  I play bridge today so I'm not going this morning.  Have a good Thursday.
