We are still in the rain mode.  I guess I'll just have to adjust to the wet weather.  I'd like to go fishing and if I were a lot younger I would probably be out doing just that.  But being older and retired I'm much more selective in picking my days to go fishing.  My criteria is as follows.  I don't go on weekends.  I don't go on windy or rainy days.  I don't go on bridge playing days. That's Tuesdays if I'm I'm called to be a sub, Wednesdays if we're playing in the park and Thursdays during the summer  All other days are fair game.  

The Green Bay Packers might have put an end to the NFL controversy last night.  Let's hope so.  The team stood for the anthem.  But then again there are some stubborn players that might continue protesting.  My take on some of this is instead of interpreting the protest the way the players want the public is interpreting as a protest against the country and flag.  Instead of getting people behind their cause they've alienated half the country.  The NBA better be careful what they let the players get away with.  

Let's hope Congress can pass a good tax plan.  I know there are those that will try to prevent President Trump from being successful but my advice to them is do what's good for the country for a change.
