October 1.  Can you believe it's October already?  Maybe it's just me.  It seems the older one gets the faster the time seems to go by.  I'll be 81 at the end of the month and as I look back on my life it seems like yesterday when I was playing ball in college.    I guess I should just enjoy everyday I have left as there are no guarantees that one will be here tomorrow.  Enjoy the people around you and tell the ones you love that you do love them.

We meet with Doctor Barrington at 1 O'clock this afternoon.  I'll probably have a better idea of my future after talking to her.  Is chemo in the future and if so what options do I have.  Will it prolong my life and by how much?  These are a couple of questions I have for her.

Two divisions of the National League ended in ties and the playoff games are today.  Milwaukee plays the Cubs and the Dodgers take on the Rockies.  All four teams are in the playoffs but the winner of today's games will have home field advantage.

Sort of what I thought during the hearing.  The result of watching the democrats confirmed my theory that they are into words and feelings while the Republicans are into evidence, facts and reality.
