I'm back from "coffee and donuts".  I haven't been in a few weeks so I thought I'd go this morning and see the "boys".  It was nice to sit and talk with them.

I feel like I'm repeating myself (which I am) but it's a good thing to repeat.  I'm feeling good and I have been for the last couple of months.  It's giving me a feeling of things will be okay for sometime.  I'll be disappointed if the results of the CAT scan next week aren't favorable.  However, after writing that I must state that you never know with cancer.  It can disappear and then comeback quickly or take it's time to comeback.   If the scan is a good indication that things are stable I'll get some time in between chemo periods and will be able to take a trip (vacation).  we plan on going to Florida if things turn out right.  I might get in some fly fishing with my friend, Jerry.

We got bad news about a woman here in the park.  She has a type of leukemia.  The drug they've been giving her isn't working and there is only one more to try.  I hope the next (last?) one works.  She's younger and I want her to spend more time here on earth with her husband.  I hope she can maintain a positive attitude.

I've heard complaints about the Super Bowl game.  Boring was the main description of these that don't like low scoring games.  I didn't think it was boring.  One play could have determined the outcome.   Maybe because I coached football for so many years is the reason I liked the game.  I was in awe of the Patriots defense.  What a game plan.  Someone on TV mentioned no big defensive plays.  I don't know what game he was watching but the breakup of the Rams possible passing touchdown by the Pats defensive back was a great play.  Pure hustle and determination by the defensive back was outstanding when he knocked the ball away from the receiver.  I had just mentioned to my wife that it was about time Brady led the Patriots on a touchdown drive.  Yes the next drive went for a touchdown.  When the chips are down I want Belichick and Brady on my side.
