We, the guys, went from catching lots of fish to struggling to put a half dozen in the net.   There was no hatch (may flies) yesterday at Crystal.  We'll try again today.  But we did have fun and that's the important thing.  Just the ride to and from the lake gives us a time to tell each other stories from the past.  You know the ones that start "do you remember the time.....".

The gals came up with a good meal last night for the five of us.  It's not easy for them to feed the group every night.  As the time comes closer for our friends to leave we will most likely be eating out.  I'm not really into eating out the next two or three days.  Since the chemo I'm not liking meat so for me it's hard to find something on the menu that sounds good to me.  I'll make it through the dinners no matter what.  The saying last summer was "one more bite, one more step".  I'll try to eat whatever is in front of me and repeat that saying in my head.

It's the 10th of July already.  Time has gone by fast.  We've had visitors each month and have enjoyed all of them.  I personally have appreciated each of them and the effort they've made to come and see me.  That is so nice of all of them and it touches me deeply.
