Saturday morning and what could be better? The wind is blowing and the rain is on its way. I don't plan on doing anything outside so let it rain and rain and rain. We need it! I don't have much on my plate today except to watch football. There are only a few games this weekend that I'm interested in watching. I think the Ole Miss Arkansas game could be a good one and may have ab influence on the playoffs. I also think the Arizona/Utah game could be a close one and naturally the game for bragging rights in southern California the USC/UCLA game. It's always an interesting game and this could decide the winner of the southern division of the Pac 12. IN the early games the Minnesota/Nebraska game might be a good one to watch with the weather the way it is. I might also give Washington State/Arizona State game a glance as Mike Leach might come up with something to keep his team close.
It sounds by all reports that the Republicans might not pull a big blunder by shutting down the government. Let's hope that's true. My advice to them is to be patient and wait until they control both Houses. Then send a bill a week to Obama and let the country see where people stand. It probably won't get covered by all the networks but maybe just a couple would do it. I mention this because NBC nightly news hasn't covered the Johnathan Gruber at all. Here is a story that when reporters were true journalists would be the "top of the hour" story. Now with readers of the news as anchormen anything the network doesn't agree with doesn't get on the air. What a disservice that is to the country. Is this a reason the FOX News audience keeps growing?
I'm 2-1 on my picks as of this morning. I hope I do better this week than last week. I hope your day is good and you are staying healthy.
