What a difference between opening day (26th) and yesterday's attendance. About 40,000 attended opening day and yesterday I'd say they were lucky to have between 10 and 15 thousand. I had a decent day at the track. I made my money back that I had lost the previous day. I was finally able to cash a winning ticket in the fourth or fifth race and then hit a couple of more winners. I always have fun meeting with my friends that I spent many hours with at the track. One buddy was my partner in owning a few horses years ago.
Most of the bowl games were close yesterday. The only game that was a rout was the Rutgers game. All the others were decided a one touchdown or less. Once again I can't comment on them because I didn't watch any of them. I won't be able to watch Monday or Tuesday's games either as we will be on the road. However, come Wednesday I plan to plop myself down in front of the TV and watch all the games.
Since it's the the holidays not much is in the news but another airplane disappearing makes me wonder what is going on. Is it aliens that are causing these events? Hmm. When was the last time you heard of a plane disappearing before the recent two? Oh I know the Bermuda Triangle has moved to the east. NO that can't be it. Ahh, it's climate change. Yes. yes, that solves that problem. Man sometimes I amaze myself in finding answers to complicated problems. Climate change, that's it. Too much carbon in the air and that just messes up the flight of the planes and then they disappear in mid flight. Why didn't I think of this earlier. Climate change that's got to be it.
The pro football playoff picture will be settled today.
I probably won't be writing tomorrow as we are going to try to get on the road early.
