Carolyn and I ate lunch yesterday at a famous southern Cal "Pastrami" sandwich shop.  We split a sandwich and as you can see they put a ton of pastrami on it.  That picture just shows half of the sandwich.  The place is called "The Hat".  So if you're ever in the Monclair area of California stop in. They serve other things too.

I didn't do much yesterday other than take Carolyn to Costco to do some shopping.  I hate to shop but it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be.  Even the traffic wasn't bad.

We've been here at my nephew's house and haven't gotten around to visiting friends yet.  It may be an all family"trip" but I don't know for sure.  We will probably wait until after Christmas to meet with friends.  It's so comfortable just being with Casey and Kumiko that it's hard to say let's go visit people.

The bowl games continue and here are my picks.  I already picked BYU to win today.  In future match ups I like Marshall in a close one with Northern Illinois.  I'm picking San Diego State to defeat Navy.  On Wednesday I'm taking Western Kentucky over Central Michigan, and Rice over Fresno State.  On Friday my picks to win are:  Louisiana Tech to beat Illinois,  North Carolina over Rutgers,  and UCF over North Carolina State.  I'll post Saturday's picks later in the week.
